Tui in Blossom

Yep, I managed to find a tui in a blossom tree - though it's quite a different blossom from yesterday's. I was leaving work just on dusk when I heard the tui in the tree beside my car. As I tried to take his photo he kept moving away from me into different trees so I went back to the car and got my big boy lens.

It was getting close to dark therefore horribly high iso here, so a very noisy capture. Still, it's a tui showing that he's been after the nectar in a lot of flowers today - as his normally pitch black beak is yellow with pollen.

A quick blip as I'm off to compere at our students' talent show this evening.
