Ladybird among thistledown...

The thistle is associated with Scotland all over the world...
Legend has it that, in years gone by, an invading Norse army was attempting to sneak up on the Scots camp when a barefoot Norseman stood on a thistle and cried out in pain. The Scots were thus alerted to the threat of attack, and adopted the thistle as their emblem thereafter...
I was delighted to find a little ladybird in the picture...:)
