Horse Haven Ranch

It was clouds to the ground and rain this morning and I was afraid that Bucky would not be able to get out the see the sites. Fortunately, it cleared up this afternoon and Bucky wanted to find some Matanuska Colony barns.

I had to work so initially Bucky went out on his own. Bucky doesn't have a drivers license so he decided to hitchhike to Palmer. But he doesn't have any thumbs, so that didn't get him very far.

After work I took him to the Horse Haven Ranch at the base of the Bodenburg Butte on the east side of the Matanuska River. Trail rides are available here around the local area.

The mountains in the background are called the Twin Peaks and the other Twin Peaks, sometimes called the Two Sisters and sometimes called the Three Sisters, go figure....

Bucky says, "Hello to Arrow and Erik!"

Tomorrow, I have a special surprise for Bucky!
