poppies

Needed a trip to Kendal this morning so afterwards I headed the few miles south to Sizergh Castle for a few hours.

Used my NTS card (joined on last Scottish holiday) to get free entry and took a packed lunch and flask of coffee so it was a cheap day out.

The gardens seemed much more impressive than when I was last
there about 4 years ago, with lots of colour still. Chose these poppies in the herbaceous border for today's blip.
