Sheep's Head

Well that was a day!
We got a short walk in at the campsite before the rain started.
We drove the lovely winding road on the North side of the peninsula and over the Goat's Path to Kilcrohane.
I braved the weather and walked to the lighthouse, B was happy to stay in the van with Rua, as no dogs are allowed. I had to sit down a couple of times when the gusts came. Mostly though I was being blown inland at least.
A most delicious toastie at The Whitehouse, a trio of flavourful humus, tapenade and pesto were a real nice surprise.
With the wind picking up and the rain getting heavier I booked a sauna at Alla's sauna at Arundel's. On my final dip i got a few stings, the mauve stingers were lurking in the seaweed.
Dinner at Arundel's and back to the campsite to sit and listen to the weather. We abandoned upstairs in the van and opted for a quieter night downstairs.
I will definitely revisit the peninsula without Rua for walking and also with my bike to explore more.
