Scorched earth
In August last year the hills behind Marbella were ablaze. In the district Elviria where we are staying it was only the well watered gardens and golf courses that served as a fire break.
My blip shows how one year on nature is fighting back but it will be a long time before the pine trees are back to full size. Only the cork trees survived the fire.
The latest on the golf is that I won day 2 of the practice rounds. We played Rio Real which is a class set up. The river retained too many of our golf balls, we renamed it Rio Golf balls. Tomorrow we start the Wide Open for real, a match over 3 rounds. Having won the 2 practice days I think the bubble may burst soon.
