Train Challenge No 20
Worcester Cathedral
With my BC friend took the train into Bristol, a second train to Cheltenham, then a third to Worcester.
First stop was the ornate C18 Guildhall then on to the cathedral and the tomb of King John (1216). After lunch in the cloisters, a stroll along the River Severn and its famous swan colony then a guided tour of the National Trust's late-medieval timber-framed Greyfriars House. (Extras from the day for anyone interested, to be collaged when I have time.)
A beautiful sunny day of 21 degrees in historic Worcester before taking a further three trains home.
Train journey time = 2hr 47mins
Waiting between trains time = 35mins
Total train journey time = 3hr 22mins
Thank you for your kind stars for my last two backblips. Today another backblip, trying to catch up. Visited Dad today (Sat) and stayed longer than planned so am chasing my tail, again. Provided I don't get a call, am off to Oxfordshire tomorrow (Sun) to visit friends for a couple of days. Catch up with you on the train tomorrow, hopefully.
