Dartmoor View

A lovely September day. Sue came to park her car on my drive, and Linda came to pick us up in hers. We headed off to the grand property of Castle Drogo. Over the time I have lived in Devon it was my first visit, although I had visited Fingle Bridge on the river Teign.

Had a lovely wander around the inside of the Castle after a coffee in the cafe. The National Trust have had a wonderful restoration done on the property. We will have revisit in the spring to have a wander around the gardens.

We left after lunch and headed along to Fingle Bridge, the river Teign was very low and youngsters and dogs were enjoying splashing around in the sunshine. After enjoying coffee and late dessert, we made our way home.
