Tap Duet

Here are Tamsin and Hope ready for their first duet, tap, in the Junior Duet section (under 13s). They danced well but weren't placed in the first six (everyone gets a certificate). Everyone was really pleased and surprised how well they danced given this was their first duet. As their teacher explained it's very difficult to dance with a partner especially when they have to mirror each other's movement across a stage.

Anyway, in the song and dance (Hope was Dorothy to Tamsin's Scarecrow) they excelled themselves and were place fifth! This was the dance that had the least amount of rehearsal but they seemed to gel together.

When they came off stage their teacher said they were high as kites. Off stage both are very quiet girls but they love being on stage!

They're looking forward to the next competition which is in Aberdeen, there may even be a tap trio too!
