Cormorants on Bassenthwaite

After a morning sorting out a few things for our cottage in Keswick we went to Mirehouse gardens on the edge of Bassenthwaite lake.

The gardens were a little lacking in colour but the views across the lake were nice. We hoped we may see an Osprey but had to settle for this pair of cormorants with Catbells and Swinside in the background.
