Mackerel Sky

What an amazing sunrise! It really was beautiful.

My commute only has selected places to see the sunrise from. Hills and trees prevent a clear view. However, on approaching the square, a dazzling colourscape arrived, and the world was drenched in lilac and pink hues.  Luckily my train was running late, so I had time to take a couple of pictures before boarding.  It was also amazing to see how many people were not looking at such a crazy sky. Everyone in their own world, in their phone, on a call, just not looking at the crazy colours before them.

The work day was another long one, but so many things got sorted, it was an excellently productive day working with colleagues.  There was an off-site meeting which could have been strange, but that went really well.  I was also lucky to get a good train to work with plenty of space and a good train home too, again lots of space - the only time this week there has been a good and not late or problematic journey.

The fridge/freezer had a strange hissy-fit and even though the door has been closed, water/ice has leaked out, and it looks like the freezer is no longer working as it should - some of the food at the front had started to defrost (and some of the food at the front was going to be my dinner!) so I tried some food from a new Indian Snack restaurant - the Bombay Sandwich and Pani Puri were amazing, all washed down with a rose Kulfi Falooda... yummm!
