Home Sweet Home

Part 1 of the move to South Queensferry began today. Once all the packing had been done, we put the essentials and cleaning supplies in the car and then stopped off at Dunelm to buy a few household items. All was going to plan until we arrived at the Port Edgar Marina for lunch at Down the Hatch (their treat). We noticed that one of our tyres was deflating rapidly (big nail) and so Mr P and I spent most of the afternoon (after lunch) waiting for the AA and then having a new tyre fitted in Ferry Road. We eventually made it back to SQ, no cleaning was required thankfully as the place was spotless, but Mr P took them to the supermarket for a big shop. The rest of their furniture (old and new) is arriving tomorrow and they’re staying with friends in Inverkeithing tonight. Mr P and I headed back to Peebles for drinks with our Curry Club friends in the evening. We’ll be packing more of their stuff into the car tomorrow morning and then heading back up to SQ.
