Mackintosh at the BBC
On the way into work this morning I was contacted by Radio Scotland to do an interview on the John Beattie Show and the Drivetime Show.
The reason they had got in touch is that the Herald had published an article: "Volunteers sought for spooky Mackintosh Church sleepover". This is part of a Crowd Funding campaign by the Mackintosh Society to raise £10,000 to develop a new performance space within the Mackintosh Church.
Two brave people are being sought to spend the night in the only church designed by the Glasgow architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh which is said to be haunted.
Last October I captured an image in a photograph which appears to resemble the spectre of the renowned architect himself.
If we raise the total £10,000 the Church will be transformed, creating additional performance space, stage lighting, a quality grand piano and other facilities that will give performers access to use the venue space for events, rehearsals and more. This includes local music students who the Society pledge to enable to use the venue for rehearsals and lunchtime concerts for free.
If you would like to get involved, or explore the other gift options available as part of the campaign, please visit the website.
