Harbour Place

Back Blip.
The least rainy day of the week. A nice wee walk around the park after breakfast, nice in the sunshine.

Then we head down to Waverley station. We get our day return tickets for North Berwick, then we have about 35 minutes to kill before the train. SO we have morning coffee at Waverley. A nice train journey, just over 25 minutes. Some time to kill before lunch, so we head to the zero waste shop, which is a few minutes walk from North Berwick station. I was very surprised to find binoculars with a film camera attached, Extra. James Bond used Tasco 7800 binoculars in the film For Your Eyes Only (1981), details here. Only £32. Then we head in to town for lunch. We get there just at the right time for a free table. After lunch, we visit a couple more charity shops. The we head down to the harbour and look out point. Cloud has moved in, so very dark views of the islands. I do get a nice photo of the Bass Rock in a brief sunny spell over the island. The for a wee wakl along the beach, looking for sea glass. The main blip is a view of Harbour place was taken from West Bay beach as we were walking back, just as a brief rain shower arrives. Fortunately we have brought our waterproof jackets. Other poeple are so lucky, and run for the nearest shelters.

We slowly walk back to the main street, and visit a couple more charity shops. The rain is easing off. I did look for more camera gear, but nothing of any interest. Then we head for coffee and cake at a café. Quite empty as teh rain has stopped and people are venturing out again. Then we slowly walk back to the railway station to catch the train back to Edinburgh.
