Three Trees and a Cloud
We were off Wallaby hunting again today. This was at Ilam Hall near Dovedale. Its called Walla B. Fierce. Only one more to visit. And that's at Peak Wildlife Park.
We did go for a walk of about 6 and a half miles to the top of Musden Low. We're aiming to do all the Ethels in the Peak District. They are 95 hills over 400m (1300ft) above sea level, and are a tribute to Ethel Haythornthwaite. She was a pioneer in getting The Peak District established as the first national park in Britain in 1951.
We could actually get to the trig point on the top of Musden Low as its on private land but we got close enough to tap the trig point with a walking pole!
The flat topped hill between the trees is Thorpe Cloud. It's also an Ethel but not one to do in the school holidays..... We'll wait for a quieter day, as we could see many folks on the top.
