High Tide

Another slow morning, a long lie, a leisurely breakfast. There were whisky tasting plans, so we were all going to take the bus to Lochranza. I thought I would fit in a beach walk before we left. Just like on Monday evening, I got absolutely drenched. I didn’t go to Lochranza, and neither did BB.

We pottered then headed out to the sandwich shop to get something for BB’s lunch. I had some leftovers. After lunch it looked like it was starting to brighten up, so BB and I drove over to Brodick. We had time to kill, so parked up and walked along the Fisherman’s Walk again. We didn’t get very far, as the tide was high, and the path was flooded. We headed up to the main road and back into Brodick. I popped to the co-op to pickup some stuff for tea, then I dropped BB off at the ferry, as he was heading back to Glasgow.

I had a lovely drive back over to Blackwaterfoot, and as the sun was out I risked another beach walk. It was lovely. The whisky tasters had returned by the time I got back.

We had a lovely evening, lots if good, drinks and laughs, and even cracked open a new jigsaw!

This is the Glen Rosa Water at high tide. The extra is the beach at Blackwaterfoot late this afternoon.
