Only a Rose

Another bright day with intermittent showers.  Very autumnal!

Had lunch with Maeve today down at the centre.  I gave her some home grown tomatoes and some of our plums too.  She was well pleased!

After lunch we went down to the care home to see Pat.  She was quite excited as her daughter was arriving tonight from Cambridge to see her for the weekend.  Fiona comes fairly regularly, and usually takes Pat out for a bit which is nice for her.  She is very frail now and needs either her family or the care home staff to take her out.  We had a nice hour with her, conversation with her is very limited but we talk amongst ourselves and she seems to enjoy the chat.

At home I saw this rose at the door, and thought it would be nice for Flower Friday.
