Eat Your Heart Out, PDX

Several years ago there was a big deal made of the carpet replacement in the Portland airport. It was a thing—you could even buy trinkets with the iconic old pattern, or score an actual piece of the old stuff if you knew a guy. Anyway, a big deal, even to this non-Portlander. Well, I’m here to say they ain’t got nothin’ on our downtown movie theater. This is what they came up with when they recently renovated the place. I haven’t noticed anyone taking pictures of their feet on the carpet, the way you do at PDX, but it’s early yet.

We were there to see the film version of Hamilton. Just an amazing show.. We were the only two people in the entire theater for the 3:30 matinee, which was kind of weird and kind of wonderful.
