Damp Start

Day one of the trip, and a challenging, stormy first day. The rain abated by about 3pm so everyone arrived in Harwich in sunshine even though their feet might still have been wet.
Getting 200 people showered,  changed,  fed and their bikes wrapped and loaded onto a vehicle was busy, but we made the ferry.

The school connection is that the start venue in the picture was Redbridge Cycle Centre in Romford. This great venue has on and off road circuits for people to learn cycling skills. Some aspiring to compete and some just wanting to gain the skills and confidence to commute to school or work.
