Wild Wednesday ...
... insect (and a frog) life.
We had lovely day today walking along the upper Sobers Run trail before going to Ballas Park to check out the life at the pond.
We found lots of pearl crescent butterflies, great blue skimmers and halloween pennants. After this we drove back to Jacobsburg State Park to see the frogs at their pond. On a recent visit here we were very pleased to see lots of little frogs in the pond there. And we were happy to see that they were still there today.
Please have a look full screen.
In other news: We released Monarch Butterfly #16 (a male) this afternoon before we had left for our outing. He was tagged and should be well on his way to Mexico by now.
