One in a million - platinum anniversary

My parents have been married 70 years today. Apparently there are about 30 of these in Britain each year and it equates to approximately 1 in a million marriages. An amazing achievement.

The care home where mum now lives put on an afternoon tea for them both, and had put a lovely poster up in the entrance area. Mr H and I have been up for the day so we could share it with them.

I’d arranged for the ‘telegram’ from the King but mum refused to accept it was the King. I think in her mind it should have been George VI.

Very tiring but I am so pleased we’ve made it as special as possible for them.
