Summer Fruits

We had our online food shop delivered earlier. Amongst the soft fruit that we ordered were two punnets of raspberries. They hadn’t travelled well and were due to be on the last day of their sell by date tomorrow. The very nice delivery man gave them to us and knocked the cost off our bill. So, I pushed them all through a nylon sieve to remove the pips, and stirred in some icing sugar. This will be a delicious sauce poured over the strawberries.

I’m very sad that the summer soft fruits are coming to the end, I love them so much.
