The Golden Hour

One of the reasons that Kennack Sands appealed to me so much is that the beach is 10 minutes walk from where we were staying, which means that I can wake at stupid o'clock, creep out of the cottage, photograph the breathtaking sunrise and get back to the cottage before anyone has risen.

Today's blip is probably the best of my three early morning jaunts to capture the sunrise. Later that day I discussed my earky morning escapade with someone from the RNLI, she described the sunrise as the celebrated "golden hour", it's a brilliant description becuase it encapsulates just how beautiful the sky is.
