Flowers for the fallen
These sunflowers are growing beside the City hall. One sunflower represents 10,000 dead in Ukraine. A figure which it’s hardly possible to take in. I was annoyed that during the drought no one seemed to be able to come out of City Hall to water them and they were drooping and half dead themselves. However, now we have rain they are reviving and looking great I think.
A busy day - morning at Fareshare and afternoon at Oxfam The Oxfam shop was actually closed because the manager was off sick. But two of us volunteers sorted all the book donations and refilled the shelves. Extremely heavy rain while we were inside, it was running like a gushing stream down the road. No wonder places are getting flooded. We were lucky that it was down to drizzle by the time we left
