Over the hedge........

MONDAY

It was tipping it down first thing, but by mid-morning the rain had stopped. It prompted me to have a go at fixing the dripping section of guttering above the garage door. I replaced a leaky joint, and will see if the repair does the trick. If not, I will have to replace the whole length of spouting.

This afternoon I headed over to the bowling club at Rhuddlan for a bit of practice with team mate Brian ahead of tomorrow’s match. 

The green had apparently been flooded earlier, as the long dry spell had baked the surface so hard that the rain just sat on top. It was still damp in places, with a few sluggish patches that slowed the bowls down and made it hard to judge the weight.

Whilst playing, I couldn’t help but notice the sunflowers towering over the hedge separating the allotments adjacent to the green.

This evening we watched the last two episodes of Dept. Q on Netflix. A really well-written, well-acted and gripping police drama.
