Discovery park


(i decided i needed to spread my wings - drove up to this lovely space that borders the Sound, it was created in 1896 and named Fort Lawton with a long history including the launching site for the pacific theatre in WW11 which is hard to figure out given the drop from the bluff to the water is steep and long.  anyway, i used to ride my bike up that huge hill - wow no way that can happen nowadays.  but it is just lovely and the beach below out of sight is nice too.  my present health issues precluded that hike down and back too -but one day again)
