Battleship Inchmickery
Inchmickery is a tiny island in the Firth of Forth, not far from Edinburgh. During both World War I and World War II the island was used as look-out post and a gun emplacement. The concrete buildings make the island look (from the side and from a distance) like a battleship. The island is now uninhabited but is an RSPB bird reserve. Landings are restricted to preserve the wildlife.
