WHITBY TRAIN

Pickering Station as the lunchtime train bound for Whitby arrives. Going to be a packed train indeed.
Talked to some of the firemen and farmers tackling the moors fires . . . under control but far from out. One farmer has lost 200 sheep as they ran out of the field and into the forestry . . . not yet found. Plenty of firecrews on duty . . . even from London Fire Brigade and many crew who  has never fought a fire like this before. They all look shattered . . . meanwhile the local Labour MP is trying to stop farmers and volunteers from helping . . . after all they need to fill in Health & Safety questionnaires as well as insurance forms . . . get a life girl.
