Alliums

I needed to visit a local homewares store for a new laundry basket; it was not a successful visit (far too big, too expensive ...), but took the opportunity to carry on to Virginia Water for a walk and to search for subjects for MoveableParts' Mono Monday challenge theme of "high key".


I had a lovely stroll around part of the lake to the coffee trailer at Black Nest (where I succumbed!) and back sighting a number of potential subjects on the way.  I rather liked some pinecones (extra), though wish I had been able to get a nice angle on some acorns on the oaks dotted along the way. In the end though I settled for this shot of some alliums, complete with a visitor, which was one of the first shots of the day.
