Great Warning

Whilst driving to a friends on our mini break over the weekend, we spotted this road sign but could not stop. I went out later with my friend to walk the dogs and we had to pass it again, so I pulled over to take and image, even though I only had the phone with me. Couldn't resist it for my blip... as I was about to take it, this lovely gentleman came over and told me the story of the sign, which he owns and how the council had tried to get him to take it down... I think that it would make people more likely to think about their speed. It was at the top of a very narrow winding lane. What got him permission to leave it there, even though its on his land, was the image he said he sent the council with a police car in the ditch just infront of the sign!
