Today is the first day of meteorological autumn and it is beginning to feel autumnal when the nights draw in and temperatures are starting to feel cooler. Some trees are turning colour and losing leaves and the fruit and berries are ripening so giving birds and insects plenty of food, but the concern is that the relatively early harvest means there will not be enough to sustain them throughout the winter. Most flowers have gone to seed and the crops are gathered in.  These are thirteen images of autumn that I saw today and commemorate another completed year of daily blips.
