The Aroma of Asparagus
Clouds of thorny white
blossoming asparagus
perfuming our Land.
You can smell the perfume everywhere; it's what alerted me to the shining clouds of whiteness. Mike and I walked over the Land in the last light, enjoying the beauty. The hard part was choosing which photo.
Should have been packing. but like Arachne, ended up doing all sorts. Watered our almost forty fruit trees, for four minutes each, plus roses and other plants - that took all morning, though did lots in each four minute break. And Mike was out, helping Netty fix her roof before she and Mara travel to Wales for Mara to start boarding school.
Gratefuls:
- Netty and Mara with us for a good lunch, made with everything I'm trying to use up before we go
- a really good nap, not been sleeping well lately
- the beauty all around us, and perfect temperatures at the moment
