Split Nut!

Finally, we get to the root or the plumbing problem!
This morning’s plumber swapped out this nut and a short piece of pipe for new ones and showed the damage on this old one. The bit of piping was also about ready to split open. 
The rest of the day has been busy with the final preparation for our visitors who are, as I type this, just overflying India.
