One Down...
... five more to go...
I finished The Little Wartime Library while sitting in the garden this afternoon, and have now chosen 3 of the latest 5 arrivals to take to the cottage..It is wise to have lots of entertainment in case of lots of rain!
My neighbour Elaine of cat- corralling fame, came over for a visit and she will return again on Tuesday morning to corral Maggie so I can get her into her carrying case and to the vet for her monthly arthritis shot. But the activity level Maggie has been exhibiting today - making mad dashes up onto and off of furniture and leaping up onto the mantel etc, makes me wonder if she really needs this shot? (extra)
Noreen and I were once again disappointed. Donna was not up to visitors again today..but at least this time it was because she has been moved into a semi-private after a month or more in a private room and she could not sleep because of what was happening with her room-mate. It was a relief that the reason was not that she had deteriorated in any way. Whew! I can relate to that experience and understand totally. I had the same challenge with one of my room-mates during my hospital stay as well. The poor woman was severely ill and there was constant traffic in and out of the room, dinging monitors, alarms ringing, and lights being turned on and off all night. Sleep was not an option. And emotionally, it was tough. It was so sad to hear her suffering...and know that there was not much they could do for her. I won't forget that. I keep hoping that Donna will soon be well and back home ...but we have no idea when that might be as we do not have much information .
