Not the best day in the world??!!

….............Sometimes you just need to RANT!!!

Today Ann had the day off work. She never has the day off work on a Monday, but as she is going to be working for the next 8 days in a row without a break yes at her age, that's going to be a bit exhausting, she had today off.

She was cross!!! Our weather app said it was going to be thundery showers all day. It has not been thundery showers all day. It has been nice and sunny. Because we thought it was going to be thundery showers, we have just frittered away her whole day off.

There is a group that go swimming every Monday morning (which Ann never goes to because she is always working). Today she could have gone swimming, but because our weather app said it was going to be thundery showers all day, she didn't bother. I just went for my normal little trek along the beach and around the town. And Ann wore her anorak and felt like a right old pratt because it didn't rain and Mr Sunshine was shining brightly.

Normally, if Ann has a day off, after our breakfast, we will go on one of our big long walks. Only 6 more walks of our, 'I Walk Cornwall' challenge to complete now. Whoooohooo. BUT, our weather app was still showing thundery showers all day.

Ann did some household administrative tasks, which included phoning 'Cornwall Council Tax Department'. She tried three times and three times she just got a message saying, 'We're busy, try again later.' Absolutely apalling service. What does one have to do to actually get to speak to a real live person these days?

And don't even get her started on EDFs customer service.................... These days, it seems that if you fit nicely into a little database box, there isn't a problem.................... Unfortunately, if you don't fit into the box, then there doesn't seem to be anything you can do about it. Won't bore you all with the details, but needless to say, my human was getting a bit angry. I went into my bed for a snooze.

Because we hadn't gone for a big long walk today, this afternoon, we went to B&M so that Ann could buy some more solar powered lights. Well, that was a wasted journey wasn't it??? (Obv I just had to wait in the car). No solar powered lights for sale, but there was a whole aisle of Halloween stuff and at least three aisles of Xmas stuff. Seriously???!! It's the 1st September. That just made my human even more angry.

On the way home, we went for a walk along the St Erth River. I love the St Erth River. And what is really good about it now............... they've made little steps down to the river at various points so that us doggies can get into the river easily. And there's NO waves. I'll go into the sea to retrieve my ball but I don't hang around in the sea cos I don't like those things called waves.

The St Erth River is fab. I love swimming there.

…............And that's been our day. The sun is still shining. I'm having a snooze on our sun terrace and Ann is wondering if it's warm enough for a glass of wine outside???!!!

.......................She's not looking forward to working 8 days in a row without a break.  Friends keep telling her, she's fit & healthy.  And she absolutely loves her job....................  BUT 8 days without a day off....................... she's an OAP and she has me to look after.......................
