View from work (Day 3770)
Off to Stromness this morning to deal with a job the customer had been waiting for someone else to do for nearly a year. The other plumber had been along, fiddled around with some of the wiring and said he would come back with a new motorised valve for the central heating. It took me way less time than I had anticipated to change the valve and sort the dripping kitchen tap, so I had time to drop in to the horses to catch up with my beautiful wife and the boys.
Back home to get Sigyn out for a wander, and after lunch I headed to Tankerness to sort out another kitchen tap. The tap was way past it's best and the customer agreed that it was better to replace it.
Next on the list was a call out to a house with no hot water. The safety cut out on the thermostat had shut off the power to the immersion element and it was just a case of pressing a button to get it working again.
