Running fast as I can

We woke early this morning and packed and got coffee and then packed Beau,

She started howling the minutes she saw the box.  She did the four paws against the outside of the box to try and prevent entry.  But we got her in 

Dave at the cattery was on top form. He was telling us about his night out this week... Same night as us at the theatre - he was at the other theatre in Glasgow at 'the bay city rollers story' 

He was mortified to tell us. And even more mortified to tell us he enjoyed it.   He was delighted to tell us that due to the general demographics of the audience   he was able to get to the gents as often as he wanted whole the ladies were queued round the corner 

Then we were off... We stopped at Berwick for a wee wander and something to eat.   We ate at Lowries where we had breakfast the last time we were in Berwick ... We are creatures of habit. We don't know why the kids are so adventurous 

We reached Lindisfarne about four ... People were mostly starting to leave the island so we were happy ha ha ha 

We got parked after a bit of in and out. Got our stuff to the room and then went downstairs for a drink in the beer garden. 


The place was packed. Must have been about 20 people in the main bar.   We were happily sat in the beer garden watching people wander back from the castle 

There was time for a wee nap and then the main event.  Dinner!

Crab bon bons. guffys cheeks, trio of pork, coconut couscous and baked fennel. Wow. Did not disappoint 

We finished with apple sorbet with rhubarb foam. What a colour - see extra! 

We were in bed by 10... I was asleep by 1015!
