Concert in the park
Sunday
It’s been a delightful week of pleasant daytime temperatures and cool nights. We have a few more in store, then some more unsettled weather moves in. We enjoyed a good morning at church. Our head pastor David was still on vacation, so Ann, a retired pastor who is a valuable part of our congregation stood in, with a very good message on perspective - how we can see the glass as half empty or half full. Since tomorrow is Labor Day, when it’s very common to have a picnic, Heidi had prepared some picnic food to go with our coffee after service - mini hot dogs, deviled eggs, chips/crisps, brownies and water melon! It’s a good job we had Bible study to go to, or I might have eaten more than I should!
In the afternoon, we got out for a cycle ride on the Little Miami trail, but on the southern section today, starting from Avoca trailhead, and heading south to Otto Armledder Park, doing the loop around the park and then back - 13.7 miles today.
In the evening we took a picnic with us to the Tom Stone Amphitheater in Blue Ash, for the holiday weekend concert by BAMSO, Blue Ash and Montgomery Symphony Orchestra, all are professional musicians from around the area. A lovely way to round off the day.
