Sanctuary

I was out walking with Hollie earlier today and we got caught in a terrific downpour.

I don't mind getting wet. We desperately need the rain.

We took shelter in our secret place and the canopy protected us from the worst of the weather. I could hear the wind and rain battering the branches of the trees high above our heads and we got showered with drops from the leaves. 

But it was fine. Dark Lane shields us from the blazing sun and the torrents of rain. We feel safe there.

I found a hazel nut that had been nibbled, probably by a Harvest Mouse. And it was great to see a puddle!
