Monday
A lovely sunny morning but I foolishly worked and had a hand held steamer frenzy - good tool for sure. By the time I went out the showers were torrential, but not long lived. This buzzard showed nicely in the distance.
Psyching myself up for school in a couple of days.
My first career was that of a professional double bass player - mostly classical.
My second career has been that of a teacher in a primary school.
I've done a great job, I'm highly effective and highly experienced...but now? Old and expensive.
I've always had a class of my own or shared since I went part time.
Now I don't.
In my view - I've been put out to grass doing the PPA ( time to prepare lessons) for other teachers.
No valid reason - at least in my book - has been given to me as to why this is like this.
I've been hugely angry, upset and so on.
So I have to go back and be at everybody else's beck and call. Do what they want me to do - don't think for yourself sort of thing.
I'm looking for a different job - I need a job for about 2 years and then I can retire.
So far, a few bits but nothing concrete.
So many 'older' teachers are experiencing this. The only reason that makes sense to me is that I'm too expensive and they want rid.
Hey ho :)
