Your letter is very important to us

It’s raining hard (hurrah). I knew it was going to rain and yet I am wearing canvas shoes (WHY?!)

An early start for an 8am meeting and horror, our students are back on campus today so the coffee shop where I had my meeting was full of students. There goes any sense of calm. Roll on Christmas. Yes I said it. But it’s the next time any of us here get a proper break so there we are.

Anyway I walk past this letter box often and it never fails to make me smile. I suspect it’s been a few years since it was last used - but I like to imagine the letters that poured in during the early 1900s. Or perhaps it was just the occasional postcard from a Mrs Trellis of North Wales. One never knows.
