Snow for the Last Day of Winter
It was very cold overnight. In the top photo you can see it is raining on the other side of Akaroa Harbour. When you see that within 20 minutes the rain would be arriving at my place. And yes that is what happened. Sure was very cold and only 4c.
The middle bottom photo is off the tiles my youngest son put up behind the new stove. My old stove had a high back so didn't need any tiles. The colour of the tiles is just about the same colour as the bench top. So looks good together.
We made our way back to Christchurch after lunch. When we reached the hilltop, snow flakes started to fall. They looked so lovely. I couldn't take a photo as my phone was on the backseat and there was nowhere to stop. You could see the higher hills had a good dusting of snow on them. It was only 2c. It is the first time I have seen any snow flakes for many years.
When we reached Christchurch the temperature had gone up to 8c, which was the high for the day.
Thank you all so much for all the comments, stars and hearts. I will try and catch up with your blips when I can. I still have a headache.
