After the rain

As the sun was shining we went on yesterday’s postponed walk.

We initially walked into town to buy something for lunch.

We then headed off on the walk. See the extra for the view as we climbed up out of the town.

The next extra is the Cannington viaduct which was built to take trains from Axminster to Lyme Regis. The service ran from 1903 - 1965.

We walked for over 5 miles.

In the evening we’ve walked into town and had fish and chips by the Cobb. The main photo was taken as we ate. Afterwards we walked along the Cobb watching the crashing waves.

Nigel then had a HUGE ice cream.

In the evening we went to the Marine Theatre to see the final show of the Folk Festival. The performers were the Spooky Men’s Chorale. Although the choir started in Australia, when they are touring singers from that country form part of the choir. We were chatting to one of the singers at the interval. A great end to the festival and our holiday.
