Hraunfossar - the lava falls

After surviving the hell that is Manchester Airport, we arrived in Iceland to glorious sunshine. We collected our hire car and drove the 2½ hours to our first hotel. It took longer than expected as Google was convinced the direct route was closed and sent us on a rather long detour. This took us through Grindavik, the town almost destroyed by the recent eruptions. No sign of any ongoing volcanic activity and new roads have been built over the recent lava flows. It was fascinating to see.
We only made one stop, at this waterfall, and unfortunately, by then, the sun had disappeared.
