From my bedroom

With my zoom, I can see over to Portencross Castle. The castle is on the far right of the shot. Portencross has been inhabited for thousands of years. An archaeological dig found evidence of an Iron Age settlement on Auldhill, just behind Portencross Castle. One of these fine days, i must visit. It has been years since I went to Portencross - my brother lived in West Kilbride until 12 years ago and it was during his stay there, that we made a family venture there for a picnic.

Another different and rewarding day finishing with a staff meeting - their enthusiasm and dedication is astonishing and I love working with them all. Yes there are challenges but when they are tackled as a team, they are manageable and everyone supports everyone else.

We made some good school decisions today and have made plans for some really exciting creative fun for Friday afternoons. All good!
