Wedding

My cousin Rachel’s wedding to the lovely Mac today. It was a wonderful day and you could tell a lot of attention had been made by both Rach and Mac and the staff at the venue.

We worked out it’s our first wedding since another cousin was married about 12 years ago. Everyone else we knew got married while we were away in Australia or one where we couldn’t make it work logistically. So we made the most of the day even if it was a big round trip down on Friday and back up on Sunday.

Kara had lots of fun playing with my other cousin’s daughter and the food was excellent. Sharing platter of Middle Eastern food. Perfect for Jen and I!

They had a Fujifilm Instax camera at the side. We got some lovely pictures (including many of Kara I haven’t included here). Now I’ve got my eye on the digital / instant Instax Mini Evo.

We had to leave before the dancing started but Kara fell asleep on the drive back to Mum and Dad’s so I just had to scoop her into bed. Easy.

Lovely day all round and many memories. Hopefully the bride and groom will be able to remember it well. My own wedding day felt quite the blur even at the time.
