The wow factor

Our wedding anniversary is tomorrow but we celebrated today with Sunday lunch in Cheltenham on the way down to Hay. Little place called The Coconut Tree which was absolutely fabulous on every level. Excellent food, the friendliest of staff, and a really nice vibe. This is one of the staff preparing a truly explosive cocktail for TSM. 

Stopped in Ross on Wye for a stroll around the high street and along the river.  Nice place.  It’s built on a hill and very photogenic. There is an amazing emporium just outside the town called Baileys which has to be seen to be believed. Hugely expensive but beautiful stuff in a cavernous series of old timber farm buildings. Quite magical. 

Couple of minor glitches to do with car charging, getting lost in the hopeless Cheltenham one way system, and some cloudbursts, but all ended happily. I did all the driving which is unusual, but apart from taking one or two bends in rally driver style that too was fine.

Staying overnight in a b&b we’ve used before. Will go out for a pint before hitting the sack tonight.
