How now, brown cows?

Today we attended a Countryside Day at Daisy Meadow Farm near Botley, arranged by CPRE ( Countryside Charity). We heard about it through CPRE  with whom we have been involved in planting hedges,as part of the Hampshire Hedge Project.     
There were demonstrations of scything,  making jams from foraged fruits, buttermaking, and  beekeeping. We also saw some of the farm animals including these lovely Jersey cows, kept for their milk.
