Not an Osprey
We left home at 07:50 this morning to drive over to Loch Leven for an Osprey walk organised by the SOC, Scottish Ornithologist’s Club. The weather was much improved on the last few days and we were delighted to see several Ospreys high up in the sky over the loch, or sitting on fence posts munching on the fish they had caught. Scott, our guide, told us these individuals have probably stopped here to refuel before their long migration to Senegal, they don’t nest at Loch Leven.
I did get some photos of them but they were too far away for my lens so I am blipping a lovely swallow instead. There were still lots flying around but they too will be off very soon to Africa.
