August Challenge - Hopeful/Hope

Day 26 of DDW's August daily challenge - Hopeful/Hope

I had a very pleasant afternoon trip up to Dunstable Downs with a photographer friend, nothing outstanding but very enjoyable.

There were a lot of kites being flown (it was good weather for them, sunny with enough wind) and also quite a lot of activity at the gliding club.

It did seem sometimes that there was a risk to the kites from the gliders, the jets landing and taking off at Luton Airport, as well as the power lines etc, and occasionally the juxtaposition of one against the other did make it seem that the kites were hopeful of flying higher than the jets.
